Hi, my name is Dr. K. A. Galil, BDS., D.Oral.Surg., Ph.D., FAGD., FADI., Cert. Periodontist, and welcome to my Oral Histology Quiz web page. I am a Periodontist who also happens to have a Ph.D. and a degree in Oral Surgery. My research interests are in TMJ, Periodontal wound healing (Periodontal Plastic Surgery), and acid etching/bonding techniques. I am a member of the Department of Periodontology (Fac. Dentistry) and Clinical Anatomy, and I also practice Oral Surgery and Periodontics. In June of 1998, I received the W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Teaching and Leadership in Dentistry which is a National Award awarded by the Association of the Canadian Faculties of Dentistry. I am the recipient of the University Student Council Teaching Award for excellence years 97, 98, 99 and 2003 and UWO-DSS award for Excellence in teaching 1985.
